Ok, he may not have the best reputation currently as he sits out his 3rd consecutive season through *injury* but there was a time not so long ago that Ben Simmons was the pride of Australian sports. In my time at Present Company, I was lucky enough to be Ben's Creative Director across his personal brand which had to align with both his personal likes and aesthetic along with representing Nike as one of their key athletes. The brand we built dictated future designs like his first shoe design with Nike, Philadelphia 76ers campaigns and NBA All-Star voting campaigns.

Ben leant into the brand so much that he had his logo created into not one, but two 100K chains that he continues to wear to this day, embroidered car seats in his lavish collection of supercars, a custom made pool table plus more. The chance to work with an athlete was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity which put me in the room with people that I would only ever dream of talking to as an avid NBA fan.  

Oh and I should mention, at the time of building his brand he was dating Kendall Jenner who was highly opinionated on his work, joining him on zoom calls to discuss the brand – it's not everyday you get feedback from a Kardashian.
